Introducing Our 2026 Co-Presidents: Elvana Gashi and Htoo K’Paw Soe
We are proud to announce Elvana Gashi and Htoo K’Paw Soe as our Co-Presidents for 2026.
Elvana Gashi
Elvana brings a wealth of experience and a global perspective. Born in Sydney and having lived in Germany before settling in Perth, she has been an active contributor to our school’s STEM programs. Her dedication has led to opportunities such as attending research workshops at the Harry Perkins Institute during school holidays. This summer, Elvana will travel to the Eastern States to participate in the prestigious National Youth Science Forum.
In Year 9, Elvana was awarded the Harding Miller Scholarship, which enabled her to pursue enriching extracurricular activities, including representing our school at the International Model Solar Car Challenge in Sydney last year. Committed to academic excellence, Elvana aspires to pursue a career in medicine as a Paediatrician.
Htoo K’Paw Soe
Soe moved to Australia from Thailand at the age of five and has demonstrated a passion for leadership since primary school. He has represented our school in numerous extracurricular activities, including RYPEN—a leadership development program through Heirisson Rotary—various STEM competitions, and performances through our Performing Arts Academy Drama program. Soe credits our Drama program for helping him build confidence and leadership skills. Outside of school, he enjoys cooking and hopes to pursue a culinary career after graduation.
With Elvana and Soe at the helm, we are confident that our school and student body are in excellent hands for 2026.
