Connected Community School trial
Girrawheen Senior High School has been selected as one of four schools in Western Australia to participate in the Connected Community School trial. Starting as part of a phased approach in 2026, the four-year trial will run until the end of the 2029 school year.
Throughout this initiative we will work closely with our community to create a well-supported school environment that connects students and their families to the help and services they need to succeed – both in learning and in life.
Our students, families and school community are vital to the success of the trial and we welcome your feedback and participation as we work to grow our existing supports and bring new opportunities to the school.
These intended services will be available to students, their parents and carers, siblings and other family members who have direct care responsibilities.

We will talk with students, staff, families and the community to hear what is working well and what could help more.

Using your feedback, we will design activities and supports that match our needs. This could be health, wellbeing, learning or family services offered at school.
Connect
Our school will become a place where families can access support and community activities during and outside of school hours.

Together, we build a school that connects, supports and grows with our community.
