Our Orientation Day for students starting Year 7 in 2026 is on Thursday 4th December.
Parents can meet with their children at the statue in our front quadrangle at 8:40am before pick-up at 2:40pm.
Parents will need to complete an Orientation Day Permission Form and return it to the Primary School Teacher. Forms can be obtained through the primary school. Please contact us on 9247 0555 or girrawheen.shs@education.wa.edu.au if your primary school needs more forms.
The Orientation Day will be a fun and informative day, allowing students to tour the school, participate in team building activities to meet new students, meet our Principal, Deputies, and some of their teachers for next year, as well as learn about the transition to high school.
What to bring: school bag, pens, water bottle.
What to wear: primary school uniform/sports uniform and enclosed footwear.
Lunch: students are required to bring their own lunch or lunch money to use at the canteen. Morning tea will be provided.
Performing Arts Academy Auditions: students wishing to audition for the Performing Arts Academy will have the opportunity to do so during Orientation Day. They do not need to prepare a routine.
Elite Sports Program: Students interested in the Elite Sports Program will be able to participate in a basketball session. Please note there are limited spaces available in both Performing Arts Academy and Elite Sports Program.
