Year 6 students can now apply for Girrawheen Senior High School’s Pre-Elite Sports Program, which runs in Term 4 of 2023.
Who: Opportunity for any students in Year 6 with a talent or interest in sports and personal growth.
Dates: 7-week program in Term 4 of 2023 (Week 2 – Week 8)
Day/Time: Mondays 2:30pm – 3:30pm
Girrawheen Senior High School is pleased to provide students in Year 6 with the Pre-Elite Sports Program in Term 4 of 2023. The 7-week program is an extension of our highly successful Elite Sports Program (launched in 2022.) The program aims to develop students’ competitive spirit and passion for self-improvement through sport and physical activity. It will also help students to prepare their academic goals for high school.
About the program: Students receive coaching from our industry specialist program partners. These include; Curtin University Athletics Club (in athletics), Warwick Senators (in basketball) and Badminton WA (in badminton,) as well as by ESP Program Manager, Adam Clarke. There will be a variety of sessions based around athletics, basketball, badminton, and general strength and fitness. The goal for students is to have fun and develop their personal best and growth mindset by understanding how through sport they can achieve success in both their daily life and academic environment.

Due to limited placements in the program, submitting an application does not guarantee placement in the program. You will receive confirmation of your place after 11th September.
