Call out for Year 6s to apply now for the 2024 Pre-ESP

Year 6 students can apply now for the 2024 Pre-Elite Sports Program, which runs for 7 weeks in Term 4.

Girrawheen Senior High School is pleased to provide students in Year 6 with the exciting opportunity to participate in the Pre-Elite Sports Program. The 7-week program is an extension of our highly successful Elite Sports Program (launched in 2022) and will help to develop students’ competitive spirit and passion for self-improvement through sport and physical activity. It will also help students to prepare their academic goals for high school.

 

Who: Opportunity for students in Year 6.

Dates: 7-week program in Term 4 of 2024 (Week 2 – Week 8).

Day/Time: Mondays 2:30pm-3:30pm

Transport to: Option A: Parents to transport from primary school to weekly sessions.

Option B: Girrawheen SHS bus pick up from 1:30pm. Limited seats are available. First applicants will receive priority.

Transport from: Parents required to collect child from Girrawheen SHS at 3:30pm.

 

About the program: Students will receive specialist coaching by our program partners, Curtin University Athletics Club, Warwick Senators Basketball, and Badminton WA, as well as by our ESP Program Manager, Adam Clarke. The program will include a variety of sessions based around athletics, basketball, badminton, and general strength and fitness. Students will have the opportunity to develop their personal best and growth mindset by understanding how, through sport, they can achieve success in both their daily life and academic environment.

Forms must be completed and submitted to Girrawheen SHS Admin by Monday 2nd September 2024. Due to limited placements available, submitting a form does not guarantee placement in the program. You will receive a confirmation of your place after 11th of September.
