On Wednesday 15th May, Girrawheen SHS students participated in basketball workshops run by NBA Player, Duop Reath.
Students in Girrawheen Senior High School’s Elite Sports Program (ESP) were overjoyed to be visited by Duop Reath, along with Coach Frank, who came for the morning.
Duop, who is the program Ambassador for our Elite Sports Program, has arrived back in the country in preparation to train with the Australian Boomers Olympic Basketball Team. He is fresh off playing his debut season in the NBA, where he is signed with the Portland Trail Blazers.
All three ESP classes had the privilege of doing drills for improvement and participating in basketball workshops run by the pro NBA player, who is a former student at Girrawheen Senior High School.
We thank Duop for his time, sharing his expertise, invaluable advice and motivational words given to our students, and for being such a great role model.
