Girrawheen SHS was a proud finalist in the 2022 Hospitality Group Training (HGT) Awards in an event attended last week by VET Coordinator, Mrs Morris, and Hospitality Teacher, Mrs Hales.
The category was for the School Partnership Award, in which our school was recognised for our Certificate II in Hospitality course delivered on campus by Mrs Hales in partnership with HGT, in which many students go on to pursue post-schooling study and work pathways following completion of the course in high school.
2021 Graduate, Jacey Peucker was acknowledged for her high achievement throughout the duration of her Certificate II in Hospitality, which was the driver behind enrolling in a pre-apprenticeship in Commercial Cookery at TAFE. Jacey Peucker is now excelling in her role as an Apprentice Chef at the Queens Hotel.
