Design & Technology
Design & Technology is an optional, practical-based subject that encourages students to learn a new skill base:
- woodwork
- metalwork
- jewellery making
- industrial workshop
- model making
- plastics
Students learn hand and machine work in a practical and creative manner. The course includes:
- research and design
- developing ideas
- fabricating projects
- evaluation
Students who perform well in Years 7, 8 and 9 have the opportunity to further pursue their interests in this area through specialised courses in Senior School such as Certificates in Building & Construction.
