Performing Arts Academy

Allowing creative talent to reach its full potential

Our Performing Arts Academy is an after-school program that aims to nurture and develop the natural creative abilities of our students.

Students participate in workshops with industry professionals to further enhance their performance skills and knowledge.

Our team of highly qualified, committed and enthusiastic teachers provides a progressive performance course that develops excellence and confidence in a caring and supportive environment.

The Academy is designed to provide students with a range of performance experiences that reflect the diverse cultural background of our school:

  • Contemporary
  • Jazz
  • Tap
  • Cheerleading
  • Gymnastics
  • Classical Ballet
  • Hip Hop
  • Cultural Dance - classical Indian, Bollywood, Spanish, Aboriginal, African, Belly Dancing, Indonesian

Students are encouraged to express their own creativity through choreography and to perform in front of an audience.

Students have the opportunity to perform at a range of productions and events:

  • Arts Showcase
  • Dance Troupe Performance Evening
  • Cheerleading Championships
  • YOH Fest
  • ACHPER Secondary Dance Festival
  • Primary School performances
  • Local and wider community events including, Perth Royal Show and Wanneroo Show

The program aims to improve self-confidence, team building, goal setting, leadership skills, respect, communication and organisational skills.
