Excursions

Learning through a rich diversity of experiences is integral to our teaching and learning philosophy. We believe that learning should not be confined within the walls of the classroom - our students' learning is enhanced by varied and challenging experiences beyond the classroom.

Our students have enjoyed trips to a number of places, including:

  • Cottesloe Beach - Sculptures by the Sea
  • ECU Joondalup
  • ECU Mt Lawley
  • Fitness First
  • Fremantle - Filmmaking
  • Perth City - Filmmaking
  • Rottnest Island - History camp
  • UWA Crawley
  • Whiteman Park - Filmmaking
  • Yanchep - Media camp

Excursions and trips will be arranged by the school in those instances where the experience will heighten student learning by creating a richer understanding of concepts taught in the classroom.

In all cases, permission will be sought from parents and guardians. Students who do not have written permission from their parent or guardian will not be able to participate in the excursion and regular supervised coursework will be set.

The school has its own 22-seater bus and a number of qualified drivers available to transport students to and from excursions. Buses will be hired to transport large volumes of students to larger school events.
