Lower School – Years 7 to 9

Setting foundations for student learning

We teach to the Australian Curriculum, providing a comprehensive education that prepares students for the challenges of Senior School.

The curriculum covers seven broad learning areas:

  • English
  • Health & Physical Education
  • Mathematics
  • Science
  • Society & Environment
  • The Arts (Media, Visual Art, Dance, Drama)
  • Technology & Enterprise (Woodwork, Jewellery, Metalwork, Home Economics, Computing)

Emphasis is placed on:

  • Encouraging growth.
  • Understanding the need to succeed in all years in order to develop a meaningful pathway.
  • Enjoyment of learning.
  • Developing skills for academic success - study skills, revision, work ethic, respect and care for self and others.
