Western Australian Certificate of Education (WACE)

Catering for diverse backgrounds and needs

Our school caters for students from diverse backgrounds and needs. Students can:

  • Be university bound
  • Have a specific career in mind that requires further education or training
  • Be planning to enter the workforce after leaving school

The WACE courses provide a range of education and training programs to provide all students with the opportunity to develop knowledge, understanding and skills.

To allow for differences in interests, rates of learning and motivation, we offer a range of courses, vocational education and training (VET) and specialised programs.

All of our courses, VET and specialised programs can contribute to students' WACE. All students receive a statement of results on completion of Year 12.

WACE Courses

All courses consist of units at three or four stages, each with its own syllabus. Students study at levels appropriate to their stage of development.

  • University bound students study ATAR subject units in Senior School.
  • Students pursing State Training Provider entry for further education and training or the workforce typically take General subject units in Senior School, with ATAR subjects being taken for special interest or pre-requisite purposes.

Vocational Education and Training (VET)

Vocational Education and Training engages students in work-related learning built on partnerships between our school, registered training organisations, business, industry and the wider community. VET can be taken as part of the WACE.

For more information on our VET program please visit our Career and Vocational Education page.
