Building and Construction
Students at our school have the opportunity to achieve a Certificate II in Building & Construction.
Students of this program make use of the school's state of the art Trade Training Centre that very closely simulates the workplace environment of the building and construction industry.
This training program is designed by the construction industry and provides students with the practical skills and knowledge to work in the building and construction industry.
The program prepares students for entry-level roles in this field, performing routine tasks under direct supervision.
Students are provided with a broad range of skills including:
- bricklaying
- carpentry & joinery
- concreting
- gyprocking
- paving
- painting
- plastering/rendering
- tiling
In the second year of the program, students will choose one of 11 individual construction trade areas to specialise within.
